DESA workers, like Emine Arslan above, have been producing goods for luxury brands including Prada, Mulberry and Aspinals of London, as well as high street names including Debenhams and M&S. The have now been fighting for over two years to get their rights respected by DESA management.
This new call for action is being relaunched only nine months after a previous international campaign was ended link to update. The campaign was stopped after a Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Deri and DESA management in August 2009.
Since that time it has become clear that neither DESA management nor the European buyers have taken the steps needed to properly implement or support the agreement.
