"Free my Dad": Somyot's son goes on hunger strike
Somyot's son Tai will be on hunger strike on 11-16 February, during the week of Somyot's next court hearing in Songkla province. This action is being taken because of the continued refusal of the Criminal Court to release Somyot on bail, most recently denied on the 9th February.
Somyot: Report of second hearing in Phetchabun

On 19 Dec, Somyot Prueksakasemsuk, editor of Voice of Taksin magazine and red-shirt leader, was brought to the provincial court in Phetchabun in lower northern Thailand for the hearing of the second prosecution witness, a former employee of his magazine. The court room was packed with an audience from Bangkok and local areas.

On January 16th, Somyot Prueksakasemsuk, editor of “ Voice of Taksin ” magazine, was brought to Nakornsawan Provincial Court for the third hearing of the prosecution witnesses.
Somyot to attend second day of trial

On Monday 19th December Somyot starts his second day on trial on charges of Lese Majeste (offending the King). If found guilty at the end of his trial in May 2012 he faces a possible thirty year imprisonment.

Triumph closes unionised factories in Thailand and Philippines
On June 29, Triumph's producer in Thailand, Body Fashion Thailand, announced that around half of its 4200 workers would be out of their jobs by the end of August.

Isabelita dela Cruz, President of the New Unity of Workers in Triumph International (BPMTI), was on the picket line with Triumph worers when security forces moved in to dismantle their shelter and evict the workers. This is her testimony of what happened that day.
May 2010: Philipine workers evicted from picket line
On the 4th of May 2010, protesting workers in the Philippines, previously employed by lingerie company Triumph, were violently evicted from their picket line. “We appeal to everyone to support us in our struggle, to condemn the violent dispersal of our picket and bring to justice those who injured our colleagues” said Isabelita dela Cruz, President of the New Unity of Workers in Triumph International (BPMTI)
